If your trying to be in the industry the best way to connect is Instagram and Linkedin, I say those two because you can keep in contact especially when you and the person show your work through these sites. Another best thing to do is to get their business card or even there emails doing this it shows that you are serious about what you're trying to do with anything you're applying for. These are steps for you as a person that wants to get into the industry.
