Green Book Film - Review

Updated: Mar 16, 2020

Green Book is a film that's based in the 1960s in New York. Starring Mahershala Ali as Dr. Don Shirley and Viggo Mortensen as Tony Lip. Throughout the movie, every second was a lesson that needed to be learned. From Dr. Don Shirley learning about new music he never heard of. Then from Tony Lip heard of classical music. But one thing is through the film they grew a bond. Tony Decided just to let his wife knows he's okay, every location he writes a letter just to let her what's happening. Having both to live at different hotels were hard due to the fact that Dr. Don was not an outgoing person, One thing I notice is that when he first arrived in South Carolina and he saw the slaves working in the field. And the connect I seen from Don and the workers were just hard to explain because there was a connecting. For a black and white man, it shows that there's always a lesson to be told and this film showed just that. Love is the answer to everything.
